Job summary

Abacus Human Capital is partnering with a growing Sunshine Coast accounting firm to recruit a capable CPA/CA-track candidate. The role focuses on preparing financial statements, tax returns, and statutory compliance for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.

You will gain exposure to tax planning and business advisory within a collaborative team. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Australian public practice, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Current and ongoing working rights in Australia

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements (including GPFS) and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
• Prepare BAS/IAS and other statutory compliance
• Manage Div 7A loans, GST, CGT and FBT matters
• Stay up to date with taxation and legislative changes
• Work closely with a supportive, collaborative, high-performing team
• Gain exposure to tax planning and business advisory with client meeting opportunities
