Job summary

MW Recruitment in Adelaide is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join one of its business services tax teams. You will manage a portion of the team’s client base under the guidance of a Manager, with day-to-day support from senior team members.

You will prepare financial statements and tax returns for various entities, perform reconciliations, and assist with tax planning research, while building strong client relationships and collaborating with peers.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified or actively working towards it.
• Experience within an Australian public practice environment.
• Comfortable working across a varied client base.
• Strong technical grounding with a desire to keep building on it.
• Well organized, able to manage multiple deadlines within a team structure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for multiple entity types.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and workpaper preparation.
• Assist with tax planning research for client teams.
• Build relationships with clients as your role develops.
• Collaborate with Intermediate and Senior Accountants within the team.

A mid size Adelaide accounting firm is looking to add an Intermediate Accountant to one of its teams. The firm has grown steadily by building genuine depth in its client base, giving staff exposure to a broad range of industries and entity structures, rather than a narrow slice of work.

Operating under experienced Partners and Managers, there's a clear structure for support and technical development, while still being large enough to offer real variety in the work that comes across your desk.

THE ROLE

Sitting within one of the firm's business services tax teams, you'll manage a portion of the team's client base under the guidance of a Manager, with day-to-day support from senior team members.

• Financial statement and tax return preparation across multiple entity types
• General ledger reconciliations and workpaper preparation
• Assisting with tax planning research for team clients
• Building working relationships with clients as your role develops
• Working alongside other Intermediate and Senior Accountants within the team

THE INDIVIDUAL:

• CA or CPA qualified or actively working towards it
• Experience within an Australian public practice environment
• Comfortable working across a varied client base
• Strong technical grounding with a desire to keep building on it
• Well organised, able to manage multiple deadlines within a team structure
