Job summary

Unknown firm in Adelaide is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their growing Business Services team. You will work closely with experienced Managers and Partners, gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from SMEs to larger private groups.

You will prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS/IAS, while supporting senior staff on advisory projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in a public practice accounting firm.
• Exposure to business services and tax compliance work.
• Experience with companies, trusts and business clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to continue developing accounting and tax knowledge.
• Current CA studies, intention to commence CA, or strong undergraduate accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• Assisting with tax compliance and business advisory engagements
• Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance-related work
• Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
• Supporting senior team members with client projects and business improvement initiatives
• Developing technical knowledge across tax and accounting matters
• Gaining exposure to more complex client structures and advisory work
