Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced accountant to join our team in a hybrid role. You will prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals, cover BAS/IAS, and work on taxation planning and advisory work as you grow.

You will liaise with managers and clients and mentor junior staff as your experience develops. With a focus on career-long growth, the role offers involvement beyond compliance and exposure to a broad range of industries, structures and commercial

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years' experience in Australian public practice
  • Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals
  • Relevant accounting or commerce degree
  • CA or CPA studies commenced or completed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Willingness to take ownership of work
  • Genuine interest in developing technically and professionally
  • Permanent Australian working rights

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
  • Handle BAS and IAS preparation
  • Cover Division 7A, capital gains tax, and FBT matters
  • Engage in tax planning
  • Collaborate with business groups and family structures
  • Liaise with managers and clients
  • Support and review junior team members as experience grows
  • Increase involvement in advisory and strategic work over time
  • Work with a variety of industries and structures

Our clients are predominantly privately owned businesses and individuals, so you'll get exposure to a broad range of industries, structures and commercial issues.

About You
  • 3-6 years' experience in Australian public practice
  • Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals
  • A relevant accounting or commerce degree
  • CA or CPA studies commenced or completed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • A willingness to take ownership of your work
  • A genuine interest in continuing to develop technically and professionally
  • Permanent Australian working rights
