Job summary

ORK Design is a growing interior design studio specialising in high-quality commercial workplace interiors, refurbishment projects and premium fitouts across Sydney and nationally. We are seeking an Interior Designer to join the team and work across a diverse portfolio for leading property groups and corporate clients.

This role suits a confident designer with strong technical and creative skills, looking to take ownership of projects and develop within a collaborative studio environment.

Qualifications

• Proven strong local interior design experience.
• Strong experience within commercial workplace, office fitout or refurbishment projects.
• Strong space planning and technical documentation skills.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD preferred.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Good understanding of finishes, furniture and material specification.
• Strong attention to detail and design presentation skills.
• Confident communication with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Collaborative and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop test fits, space planning and design concepts.
• Prepare concept presentations, finishes and FF&E selections.
• Produce detailed architectural and interior documentation.
• Prepare tender and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Attend client meetings, site meetings and project inspections.
• Review shop drawings and respond to construction queries.
• Support projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Manage design tasks, deadlines and project deliverables.
• Mentor and support junior designers where required.

We are looking for a talented Interior Designer to join our team and work across a diverse portfolio of exciting projects for leading property groups, landlords and corporate clients.

This role would suit a confident designer with strong technical and creative skills who is looking to take greater ownership of projects and continue developing within a collaborative studio environment.

The Role

• Working closely with our Director and senior design team, you will be involved across all stages of the design process, including:
• Developing test fits, space planning and design concepts
• Preparing concept presentations, finishes and FF&E selections
• Producing detailed architectural and interior documentation
• Preparing tender and construction documentation
• Coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
• Attending client meetings, site meetings and project inspections
• Reviewing shop drawings and responding to construction queries
• Supporting projects from initial concept through to completion
• Managing design tasks, deadlines and project deliverables
• Mentoring and supporting junior designers where required

About You

• We are looking for someone who has:
• Proven Strong Local Interior Design Experience
