Job summary

The Interim Financial Controller at Frog Recruitment supports a College's finance function, overseeing day-to-day financial operations, systems, and staff. You will partner with senior management to ensure accurate reporting, governance and timely cash flow management.

Lead the finance team, supervise payroll processing, prepare monthly statements and grant reporting, and liaise with auditors during audits, with a view to transitioning the role to a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial management and reporting within an educational or similar setting.
• Strong capability in managing finance teams and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external constituents.
• CA or CPA membership is required.
• High level of digital literacy, including advanced use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations at the College.
• Maintain financial administration and reporting systems including the general ledger.
• Supervise finance staff and delegate tasks effectively.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital.
• Prepare government grant applications and monitor their receipt.
• Review payroll processing and accounting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and departmental budget reports.
• Liaise with auditors during the College's financial audit.
