Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking an experienced interim CFO to support a well-known Australian business through a transformation phase while continuing to lead core finance, IT, payroll and inventory/logistics functions.

The role requires immediate start and the ability to establish credibility quickly with minimal handover, driving cash flow visibility, governance and high-impact decision making across the board.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent is required.
• Genuine debt and equity experience.
• Experience supporting a business through transformation.
• Comfortable with stock and inventory operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Own cash flow management, visibility and forecasting in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain financial governance, reporting integrity and month-end/statutory processes.
• Provide leadership continuity across finance, IT, payroll and inventory/logistics.
• Partner closely with the CEO and Board.
• Act as a credible financial counterpart to the private equity owners.
• Support due diligence, data room and management presentation activity as required.
• Maintain oversight of ongoing systems and inventory improvement projects.
