Job summary

Act for Kids is excited to welcome a Family Support Practitioner to the Cairns Intensive Family Support team. You will work with families and individual members to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful change using evidence-informed therapeutic interventions.

The role offers a level 4 SCHCADS Award with salary range $92,287 - $99,295 plus Superannuation and a full-time parental leave backfill until 26 February 2027. Funding is confirmed until 30 September 2026 with potential renewal.

Qualifications

Two+ years’ experience providing case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people and children in a child protection framework.
Eligibility to work in Australia with required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption).
Professional registration and/or membership in a professional association is desirable.
