As a vital part of the Intensive Family Support program, you will provide culturally safe support, fostering connections within local communities while promoting safe cultural practices. With a strong emphasis on the individual’s cultural identity, this position requires a deep understanding of community and cultural nuances to empower families.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the impact of intergenerational trauma on Aboriginal families.
• Experience building partnerships between services and communities.
• Ability to apply evidence-based therapeutic frameworks to complex family challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe support to Aboriginal families.
• Implement the Intensive Family Support Cultural Practice Framework.
• Engage families using a strengths-based and client-centered approach.
• Assess risk and provide therapeutic interventions in homes.

Skills
