seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst to join a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) function in Australia. You will apply advanced OSINT techniques to identify connections, patterns and risk indicators across publicly available information, and collaborate with the GSOC team to deliver timely, high-quality intelligence.
Based in Melbourne, you will work autonomously and, when needed, remotely from the Sydney-based Intelligence and GSOC teams.
We are looking for an experienced Intelligence Analyst to join a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) function, using advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques to identify connections, patterns and risk indicators across publicly available information.
The role works closely with Intelligence Analysts, Operators and the wider Intelligence and Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) team to deliver timely high-quality intelligence.
Unlike a traditional analyst position, it combines OSINT tradecraft with technical capability, including software engineering, defensive security and advanced digital investigation methods. The successful candidate will use coding and automation to enhance intelligence collection and analysis, secure virtual environments to conduct online investigations safely and AI tools to analyse large, complex datasets efficiently, all within appropriate information security controls.
Based in Melbourne, the analyst will work independently and remotely from the Sydney-based Intelligence and GSOC teams. The role requires a highly autonomous, self-motivated person who can manage their own workload, prioritise competing tasks and deliver to deadlines with minimal supervision. They must make sound, well-reasoned judgements, know when to escape and keep in regular, proactive contact with the wider team.
Investigations: Conduct in-depth OSINT investigations into Persons of Interest (POIs), digital footprints and online vulnerabilities, including background checks and analysis of publicly available online activity.
Pre-Event Digital Sweeps & Threat Mitigation: Conduct targeted digital sweeps ahead of client movements, events and other sensitive activities, monitoring relevant online channels for emerging threats and promptly escalating actionable intelligence to security managers.
UHNW Threat Expertise: Develop subject-matter expertise in the threat landscape affecting ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), their families and associated assets, including cybercrime, extortion, kidnapping, bias-motivated crime, physical security threats and relevant threat actors.
Intelligence Assessments & Reporting: Produce concise, evidence-based intelligence assessments and reports covering security developments, locations, emerging threats and rapidly evolving situations that may affect clients, supporting informed operational and strategic decision-making. Analysing digital footprints and online information.
Report Review & Quality Control: Review daily intelligence reports, investigations and other tactical intelligence products to ensure analytical accuracy, consistency, relevance and adherence to established reporting standards.
Technical Evolution & Innovation: Serve as a technical lead within the Intelligence team, identifying, evaluating and testing emerging technologies that can enhance intelligence collection, analysis and reporting. Support the integration of new tools, modernise investigative workflows, strengthen team-wide technical literacy, and develop engineering and automation solutions that improve the efficiency, scalability and security of intelligence operations.
You will be analytical, technically minded and naturally curious, with the ability to work autonomously and make sound judgements in a fast-moving environment.
If you have experience across OSINT, intelligence analysis, digital investigations or related technical disciplines, and want to apply those skills in a practical security environment, we’d like to hear from you.
