Job description

Use intelligence to help secure our customers.

24th February, 2025

We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the operational intelligence capability within CyberCX Intelligence. Be part of a dynamic, high-performing team with unparalleled visibility into our region's cyber threat landscape. Our ideal candidate will value a highly collegiate environment, have excellent analysis skills and strong foundations in both cyber threat intelligence and technical cyber concepts. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work both within a multidisciplinary team and proactively, under limited direction.

About the team

CyberCX Intelligence is a dedicated intelligence capability, with experts in tactical, operational and strategic intelligence. Situated inside one of the world’s largest end-to-end cyber security companies, we have the information, access and context to help our customers to make better decisions at all levels: from threat hunts and cyber exercises, to incident response, remediation and uplift activities.

How you’ll make an impact

As a Senior Analyst, you will make a tangible impact to the security of organisations in Australia and globally. You will provide real-time intelligence support to high-profile cyber incidents, lead intelligence investigations to proactively uncover threats to our customers, and monitor the threat landscape to find new insights about threat actors and their techniques. You will also apply these assessments to real-world situations, through intelligence-led threat hunts, adversary simulations, tabletop exercises, threat profile assessments and more.

Day to day you will:
  • Monitor the global and regional threat landscape to identify and action threat information relevant to our customers.
  • Collect, triage and synthesise information from multiple sources, which you build and validate.
  • Extend your subject matter expertise in threat actor techniques and capabilities and in threat intelligence concepts such as MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Write short form intelligence SITREPs and advisories, often under time pressure, for cyber practitioners and longer form threat actor profiles and intelligence reports for business leaders.
  • Lead intelligence investigations, aggregating threat information from across Incident Response case files, as well as dark web and other open source investigations.
  • Lead, coach and mentor Associate Analysts and Analysts from diverse backgrounds and with diverse skillsets.

Key skills and attributes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to analyse and amalgamate diverse information to identify trends, patterns and insights.
  • Excellent understanding of the region’s cyber threat landscape and of cyber threat intelligence frameworks and processes.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce oral and written products with structure, clarity and precision.
  • Stakeholder engagement and project management skills and a track record of delivering results in high-pressure environments.

Experience and qualifications
  • 3-5 years’ relevant professional experience, with experience in intelligence and consulting both highly regarded.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree.

What's in it for you?
  • Flexible working in a hybrid arrangement (a blend of office and WFH).
  • A high-performing, collegiate team with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • A dynamic environment where no day is the same, and you make a difference to customers and communities.
  • Once-in-a-career growth opportunities.
  • Attractive salary and employee benefits package.
