Job summary

Suncorp Group is seeking a Fraud and Intelligence professional to help prevent, detect and disrupt insurance fraud. You will analyse structured and unstructured information, identify emerging fraud patterns and translate findings into practical recommendations.

The role is based in Brisbane or Sydney and sits within the Fraud and Intelligence team, collaborating with internal teams, industry partners and regulators.

Qualifications

  • Practical qualifications in intelligence, with tertiary studies in intelligence or investigations viewed favourably.
  • Proven criminal intelligence experience within fraud, risk, finance, insurance claims or a related environment.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills across structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Knowledge of intelligence management, investigation processes and structured risk assessment practices.
  • Proficiency with i2, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear communication, facilitation and presentation skills for engaging varied internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic intelligence products that identify fraud trends, patterns, anomalies and emerging typologies.
  • Maintain accurate intelligence holdings and operational workflows that support timely investigative and business decisions.
  • Apply structured risk assessments to identify control vulnerabilities and inform detection and prevention strategies.
  • Manage community sourced intelligence through the Fraud Hotline while providing empathetic and professional customer service.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear briefings and recommendations for operational and strategic stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with investigation teams, technical specialists, industry partners and regulatory organisations to coordinate responses to fraud risks.

About The Role

Join the Fraud and Intelligence team to help prevent, detect and disrupt insurance fraud through tactical and strategic intelligence. You will analyse structured and unstructured information, identify emerging fraud patterns and translate complex findings into practical recommendations. Your insights will inform investigations, detection design, preventative strategies and fraud controls across claims and operational teams. You will also strengthen intelligence practices, improve information management and support collaboration with internal teams, industry partners and regulatory organisations.
