About the role

A software engineering role that designs, builds, deploys and supports integrations across Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions and Azure Automation runbooks. The role leads tactical technical delivery (analysing existing interfaces, defining target-state designs, and executing release, cutover and validation with minimal disruption to airline operations) and owns the secure handling of data in transit, including personal information.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design integrations across Boomi and Azure (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management), selecting the right pattern for each requirement.
• Analyse and document existing interfaces (flows, mappings, rules, dependencies) and translate them into target-state designs and reusable components.
• Lead tactical planning and delivery of integration workstreams, including cutover, parallel-run, reconciliation and rollback, and set engineering standards and patterns.
• Act as technical authority for Boomi: complex processes, maps and scripting, Atom/Molecule architecture, performance tuning and deployment standards.
• Develop advanced C#/.NET integration logic, including Azure Functions (isolated worker, Durable Functions) and Logic Apps workflows and connectors.
• Build Azure Automation/PowerShell runbooks and publish secure, versioned APIs through API Management.
• Manage all code, Boomi components, workflows, runbooks and configuration in Git source control, with an agreed branching strategy, pull-request reviews and branch protection.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) that build, test, scan and promote solutions through Dev, Test, UAT and Production with approval gates.
• Deploy infrastructure as code (Bicep/Terraform) and release through change management with a tested rollback path.
• Use Claude and Copilot to accelerate coding, mapping conversion, testing, code review and documentation.
• Build reusable prompts, agents and tooling that automate engineering tasks at scale, validating all AI output and complying with Alliance AI and data‑handling policies.
• Identify and protect PII (passenger, crew and employee data) through encryption, minimisation and masking, keeping PII out of logs and non-production environments.
• Enforce least-privilege access using Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault and private networking, with all access logged and regularly reviewed.
• Implement monitoring and alerting (Boomi Process Reporting, Azure Monitor, Application Insights) and resolve incidents with root-cause fixes.
• Optimise for performance, resilience and cost; work with program, architecture, vendor and security stakeholders; document solutions and mentor others.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Integration Engineer with a strong background in designing, developing and delivering complex, high-volume enterprise integrations.

You will be a hands-on technical leader with proven experience across both Dell Boomi and Microsoft Azure, capable of taking ownership of integration solutions from architecture and design through to development, deployment and ongoing optimisation.

Your skills will consist of:

• Boomi Professional Developer certification (Desirable)
• Boomi architect-level, Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (Desirable)
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience (Desirable)
• Azure Functions (isolated worker, Durable Functions, scaling and performance), Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid and API Management.
• Advanced C#/.NET 8+, automated testing, SQL and PowerShell.
• Git, Azure DevOps/GitHub YAML pipelines and infrastructure as code (Bicep, ARM or Terraform).
• Azure security controls: Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault and private networking.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot), including prompt engineering and AI-assisted automation.
• 5+ years in software or integration engineering, including 3+ years building production Boomi integrations and 3+ years building production Azure Functions and Logic Apps in C#/.NET.
• Proven record as lead engineer designing and delivering complex integrations end to end, beyond configuration and operational support.
• Leading integration workstreams, including re-engineering existing interfaces and executing cutover with minimal operational impact.
• Multi-environment CI/CD and securing PII in a regulated environment.
• Aviation or 24/7 operational environment experience (Desirable)
