Job summary

CareSuper Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking an Integration Developer to design, develop and support secure, scalable integration solutions using Azure services and event-driven patterns.

You will collaborate with analysts, architects and security teams to deliver RESTful APIs, Kafka-based events and API management within a governed enterprise environment, ensuring reliability across production and non-production environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on integration specialist with strong Azure capability.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs with API management.
• Experience implementing event-driven integrations using Kafka.
• Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, OAuth2 and Azure security patterns.
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments is highly regarded.
• Exposure to Azure, Confluent, SQL or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

• Build, secure and manage APIs through Azure API Management with policy configuration and lifecycle management.

• Create and maintain integration documentation covering API contracts, event schemas and workflows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve integration performance across environments.

About the role

As our new Integration Developer, you’ll design, develop and support secure, reliable and scalable integration solutions aligned to CareSuper’s Azure Integration Services architecture. Reporting to the Manager Integration Platform, you’ll help connect applications, platforms and services across the Fund using Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, Azure Functions and event-driven integration via Confluent Kafka.

You will:

• Design, develop, test and deploy integration solutions using Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management and Azure Functions.


• Build, secure and manage APIs through Azure API Management, including policy configuration, versioning, throttling and lifecycle management.


• Design and implement event-driven integrations using Confluent Kafka, including event definition, publishing and consumption.


• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, cyber security, risk and project teams to deliver integrations aligned to business, architectural and regulatory requirements.


• Create and maintain integration documentation covering API contracts, event schemas, workflow designs and reusable integration patterns.


• Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve integration performance across production and non-production environments.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a hands-on integration specialist who brings strong Azure capability, sound engineering practices and a practical approach to solving complex integration challenges.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, including Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management and Azure Functions.


• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs, with a strong understanding of API management, lifecycle practices and integration patterns.


• Experience implementing event-driven integrations using Kafka, ideally with Confluent Platform or Confluent Cloud.


• Solid understanding of authentication, authorisation, OAuth2 and Azure-native security patterns.


• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot integration issues across complex environments.


• Experience working in a regulated enterprise environment, along with Azure, Confluent, SQL or CI/CD pipeline exposure, would be highly regarded.
