Job summary

Wesley Mission in Penrith, NSW is seeking an Intake and Triage Support Officer to provide brief, solution-focused, phone-based support to individuals and families affected by gambling harm. You will manage intake, scheduling and data entry to ensure smooth transitions into GambleAware services.

You will work with diverse community members, have qualifications in Community Services or related fields, and use risk assessment skills to support clients from first contact through referral.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social work, Counselling or related field.
• Experience using brief solution-focused approaches with vulnerable people.
• Experience in assessments and intake processes.
• Experience in assessing Risk and Safety of clients.
• High level of computer literacy and MS Office.
• Current working with children’s check and police checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief, solution-focused phone-based support to individuals and families.
• Manage intake process including client registration and scheduling.
• Coordinate initial assessments and referrals into GambleAware services.
• Maintain data management and client-based systems.
• Deliver a welcoming and organized experience for clients.
