Job summary

Better Rehab is hiring an Intake Specialist to serve as the friendly, organized point of contact for participants and their support networks. You will respond to inquiries by phone and email, schedule appointments for Allied Health Professionals, and help keep our records up to date while ensuring a smooth participant journey.

You will work in a busy, people-focused environment, with training offered for the right person.

Qualifications

  • Experience in admin, healthcare or customer service is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for participants and their support network via phone and email.
  • Schedule and arrange appointments for Allied Health Professionals; maintain smooth operations.
  • Set up service agreements, conduct risk assessments and manage waitlists.
  • Keep our database up to date and assist with documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service while supporting participants and teams.

As an Intake Specialist, your work directly impacts our participants' journey to achieving greater independence, confidence and quality of life. You’re the friendly guide, the problem-solver and the organiser who makes everything run smoothly so our clinicians can focus on delivering exceptional care.

Your role:
  • Full time, permanent position.
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday - 8:30 AM to 5 PM
  • Be the first point of contact for our participants and their support network, responding to phone and email inquiries.
  • Schedule and arrange appointments for our Allied Health Professionals; keeping things running smoothly.
  • Set up service agreements, conduct risk assessments and manage waitlists.
  • Keep our database up to date and help with documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service while supporting the people who need us most.
