Neami National in Brisbane North is seeking an Intake and Assessment Coordinator to join a multidisciplinary team, delivering structured intake, assessment and referral services for consumers seeking support across social issues.

The role serves as the central point of contact for intake and assessment, handling referrals, inquiries, assessments and eligibility screening, while ensuring accurate documentation and data collection.

Qualifications

• Formal tertiary qualification in a related field and/or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of the mental health sector or equivalent.
• Experience working with consumer information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection.
• High level of interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Form part of a multidisciplinary team delivering intake, assessment and referral services.
• Act as the point of contact for intake and assessment including receiving referrals and addressing enquiries.
• Undertake consumer assessments and program eligibility screening.
• Review referrals to ensure the right level of care is provided.

• Full Time Permanent Position
• Classification:SCHADSLevel 4 with a salary range of $92,378 - $99,393 per annum + Superannuation

• Location: Brisbane North, Royal Brisbane Hospital Brisbane South (based in Logan but will be moving to Mt Gravatt in 2026)4122

About your new role

The Intake and Assessment Coordinator will form part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering structured intake, assessment and referral services for consumers seeking support across a range of social support issues. The Intake and Assessment Coordinator is the point of contact for all intake and assessment; receiving referrals, addressing enquiries, undertaking consumer assessments, program eligibility screening and reviewing referrals to ensure the right level of care isprovided.

What you will bring to the role

• Formal tertiary qualification in a related field and/or equivalent experience working in a relevant setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of the mental health sector or equivalent.
• Experience working with consumer information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection.
• High level of interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
• Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
• Ability to establish respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff and partner organisations.
