Meridian is seeking an Associate for its Insurance Litigation team in Canberra. The role involves managing your own matters with direct client contact and working under the supervision of Principal and Senior Lawyers to develop advocacy and strategic-advice skills.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ post admission experience gained working within an insurance litigation practice.
• Strong interest in insurance litigation across multiple lines of insurance work.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work quickly and meticulously with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong client service focus and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Proven time management and ability to prioritise multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage own insurance litigation matters with high level direct client contact.
• Receive mentorship from Principal and Senior Lawyers while developing advocacy and strategic advice skills.
