Job summary

The Andersen Partnership on the Gold Coast is seeking an aspiring insurance broker or assistant broker to manage an existing domestic portfolio and support a team of commercial brokers. You will build your knowledge across general insurance products and broaden exposure to SME accounts within a supportive office environment with beach views.

Ideal candidates have at least 12 months in an insurance brokerage, Tier 2 qualification (Tier 1 generally desirable), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience working within an insurance brokerage.
• Tier 2 qualification, with Tier 1 general insurance qualifications highly regarded.
• Experience in domestic insurance, with some exposure to commercial SME a bonus.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced brokers.
• A genuine interest in developing your commercial broking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing and servicing an existing domestic insurance portfolio.
• Assisting with the servicing and administration of commercial SME accounts.
• Preparing quotes, renewals and insurance documentation.
• Liaising with clients and insurers to ensure a high level of service.
• Supporting experienced commercial brokers with client requirements and account management.
