Job summary

CareSuper Pty Ltd is seeking two Insurance & Claims Case Managers for a 12-month fixed term contract (Melb or Hobart). You will manage a diverse portfolio of insurance and claims matters in a regulated superannuation environment, delivering timely outcomes with empathy and professionalism.

You will assess claims, liaise with members and stakeholders, and support continuous improvement across claims systems. Hybrid work arrangement and generous leave provisions are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in superannuation administration, insurance or claims management.
• Strong knowledge of superannuation, insurance and claims handling practices.
• Proven case management experience from start to finish.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with compliance requirements.
• RG146 certification, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of insurance and claims cases (Death, TPD, Income Protection, Terminal Illness, Early Release due to Ill Health).
• Provide empathetic member service and support through the claims process.
• Assess claims, collate information and prepare recommendations for decision-making authorities.
• Liaise with members, beneficiaries, representatives, insurers and stakeholders to progress claims.
• Conduct claim-related calls and manage correspondence through the lifecycle.
• Maintain governance documentation and case notes.

Insurance & Claims Case Manager | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (2 Opportunities)

We're seeking two Insurance & Claims Case Managers to deliver compassionate, professional and end-to-end claims support to members and their beneficiaries. Working within a highly regulated superannuation environment, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of insurance and claims matters, providing guidance, support and timely outcomes while ensuring compliance with legislative and fund requirements.

About the role:

• Manage a portfolio of insurance and claims cases, including Death, TPD, Income Protection, Terminal Illness and Early Release due to Ill Health claims
• Provide exceptional member service and support, helping members and beneficiaries navigate the claims process with empathy and professionalism
• Assess claims, collate information and prepare recommendations for consideration by relevant decision-making authorities
• Liaise with members, beneficiaries, representatives, insurers and other stakeholders to progress claims and achieve timely outcomes
• Conduct claim-related inbound and outbound calls and manage correspondence throughout the claim lifecycle
• Maintain accurate governance documentation, case notes and member records
• Assess insurance eligibility, coverage and benefit entitlements in line with business rules and legislative requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems and member outcomes
• Support testing, upgrades and enhancements across claims-related systems and platforms
• Share knowledge, support team capability and assist with complex enquiries when required

What we're looking for:

• Experience in superannuation administration, insurance, claims management or a related financial services environment
• Strong knowledge of superannuation, insurance and claims handling practices, ideally within a regulated environment
• Proven case management experience, including the ability to manage competing priorities and complex matters from start to finish
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and sensitively
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with members and beneficiaries during emotionally challenging circumstances
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes
• Ability to assess information, exercise sound judgement and make well-reasoned recommendations
• RG146 certification, or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service standards and compliance requirements
• Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, legislative change and evolving business needs
• Experience within superannuation, insurance claims or death benefit assessments will be highly regarded
