Job summary

Ausgrid is seeking an Insurance Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Sydney. You will work with the Group Treasurer and Insurance Manager on corporate insurance, renewals, claims management, risk financing and reporting.

You’ll collaborate with Finance, Legal, Procurement, Project Management, Asset Management and external insurers/brokers. This role suits someone with experience in insurance, risk or governance and a data-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Experience in insurance, risk management, finance or governance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Experience producing reports/presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support insurance renewals, policy administration and insurer submissions.
• Collect, validate and analyse operational, financial and claims data.
• Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, presentations and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
• Support management of insurance claims, including registers, progress, and information coordination.
• Coordinate across the business to assemble information for insurance activities and reporting.
• Monitor insurance performance, emerging risks and claims trends to identify insights.
• Support market reviews, benchmarking, audits and assurance activities.
• Help enhance insurance processes, systems and reporting capabilities.
