Job summary

Australian Commercial and Transport Insurance Brokers (ACTIB) is seeking an internal account broker or senior support assistant to service an existing book of commercial business in Adelaide. The role focuses on renewals, insurer negotiations, and delivering timely, accurate client guidance.

You will liaise with insurers, provide policy advice, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring high standards of service and timely responses to inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full renewal cycle, including submissions and insurer negotiations.

• Deliver high standard of client service to retain and grow the portfolio.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers, and stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone and email.
• Review client needs and provide suitable recommendations and solutions.
• Maintain accurate client records in internal systems.

About the Role

This busy, varied and interesting role will see your daily tasks include, but not limited to:

Manage the full renewal cycle, including preparation of submissions, insurer negotiations, and placement of cover

Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive terms and favourable outcomes for clients

Provide timely advice on policy coverage, endorsements, and risk exposures

Deliver a high standard of client service, ensuring retention and satisfaction across the portfolio

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, insurers, and stakeholders

Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries via phone and email

Review client insurance needs and provide suitable recommendations and solutions

Ensure accurate record keeping and maintain up-to-date client information within internal systems

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to follow instructions and maintain Company systems

Contribute to a strong team culture

Strong Microsoft Office knowledge in Outlook, Excel and Word.

A professional and pleasant phone manner

About You

Previous experience in insurance broking, account management, or a similar insurance role

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively

Professional presentation with a strong customer-focused approach
