IDEXX is seeking an Instrument Technician II to join our Sydney Instrument Services team. This hands‑on role involves diagnosing problems, repairing equipment, and ensuring diagnostics instruments operate reliably for veterinary customers.

You will troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and reassemble instruments, perform preventive maintenance, document results, and contribute to procedures and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate III or IV in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related field.
• Approximately 2–3 years of hands-on repair/maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures.
• Aptitude for electro-mechanical repair and working with mechanical/electronic systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with medical devices or diagnostic equipment is advantageous but not essential.
• Flexible team player with good communication skills.
• Permanent Australian work rights strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test IDEXX instruments and related equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test instruments at our Sydney facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance and support servicing activities.
• Assemble, test, and inspect electrical, electro‑mechanical, and mechanical components.
• Document repair activities and test results using electronic systems and MS Office.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help develop procedures.
• Support quality, safety, and compliance with SOPs.
• Work across multiple product lines to develop broad technical expertise.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace and participate in improvement initiatives.
