Job summary

Corpus Christi is part of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese's network, seeking an Instructional Coach to lead learning through instructional leadership and evidence-based practice. The role focuses on professional growth and collaboration with the school leadership team.

Responsibilities include data-driven planning, supporting English and Mathematics in K-2, and contributing to whole-school literacy and numeracy initiatives. Ongoing full-time position with a 2 point allowance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete).
• Religious Education qualifications, or willingness to obtain them in line with CSPD requirements.
• Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
• Statements of Service.
• Working with Children Check clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Co-planning, implementing and evaluating the School Improvement Plans with the leadership team.
• Collating and analysing literacy and numeracy data to set targets and next steps for student outcomes.
• Regularly evaluating impact with an Evaluative Thinking Tool (e.g., QDA).
• Improve English and Mathematics outcomes across K-2 with in-situ teacher support (data, observations, modelling, co-planning, co-teaching, co-assessing, coaching).
• Ensure explicit teaching and research-based practices in Literacy and Numeracy aligned to NSW syllabuses and phonics program.
• Participate in Literacy and Numeracy blocks as a co-teacher in K-2 to build capacity.
• Engage in system professional learning aligned to system goals.
• Collaborate with Literacy, Numeracy or Stage coordinators to design whole-school professional learning.
