Job summary

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School in New South Wales is seeking a passionate Leader of Learning (Coordinator 2) to join us on a temporary full-time basis for 2027. We provide quality Catholic education for girls and boys from Kindergarten to Year 6 and foster reflective, collaborative learners in a faith-filled environment.

As Leader of Learning, you will work with the Leadership Team to strengthen teaching, learning and student wellbeing, provide stage leadership, coach teachers and drive

Qualifications

• Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation, including a valid Working with Children Check.
• A tertiary qualification in Education.
• Eligibility to teach under NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading numeracy improvement and/or curriculum development.
• The capacity to provide effective stage leadership and support teachers to strengthen their practice.
• Strong knowledge of positive behaviour management strategies and experience supporting teachers to implement them.
• The ability to use student learning data to inform teaching and school improvement.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Sound knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic faith and mission of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively with the Leadership Team to support school priorities and drive improvement in student learning outcomes.
• Providing stage leadership, supporting teachers with planning, assessment and effective classroom practice.
• Leading numeracy improvement and/or curriculum development initiatives that respond to student learning needs.
• Building teacher capacity through coaching, collaboration, feedback and professional learning.
• Supporting teachers with behaviour management and promoting consistent, positive approaches across the stage.
• Using student learning data to guide teaching, identify areas for improvement and monitor progress.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive and faith-filled learning environment.
