Site View Security is seeking a Security Technician / Installer to join our growing Victorian operation. The role involves installing and servicing standalone solar-powered security systems across Carrum Downs, Melbourne and surrounds.

You’ll travel to customer sites, commission CCTV and intrusion systems, and work with remote monitoring technology. The role requires a hands-on, reliable attitude and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience with CCTV or security systems is preferred.
• Ability to install, service and troubleshoot field equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills.

We work across construction, commercial, civil and government sectors, combining CCTV, intrusion detection, remote monitoring and smart technology to deliver reliable security solutions for our customers.

As we continue to grow our Victorian operation, we're looking for a Security Technician / Installer to join our team.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same.

You'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and preparation of Site View's standalone solar-powered security systems, working both independently and alongside our team.

You'll travel to customer sites throughout Carrum Downs | Melbourne & Surrounds | Victoria, working with modern CCTV, intrusion detection, communications and remote monitoring technology.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Installing and commissioning Site View security systems


• Servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment


• Preparing and manufacturing equipment for deployment


• Diagnosing technical issues in the field


• Working with CCTV, alarms and associated technology


• Liaising professionally with customers and site contacts


• Ensuring installations are completed safely, neatly and to a high standard


• Working autonomously while remaining part of a supportive national team

About You

We're looking for someone who brings the right attitude first.

Previous CCTV, security or technical experience is highly regarded, but we're also open to someone with strong practical skills who is eager to learn.

You'll ideally have:

• A current Victorian Driver Licence


• Current White Card


• Security Provider Licence - Class 2 (Security Equipment Installer)


• Working with Children clearance


• EWP licence up to 11m - preferred but not essential


• CCTV and/or alarm experience - preferred but not essential


• Confidence using hand and power tools


• Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors


• Strong attention to detail


• Good problem-solving skills


• Excellent customer service and communication skills


• A proactive, reliable and positive attitude


• The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
