Job summary

DISC is seeking a Senior Security Technician to install, commission, service and maintain integrated electronic security systems across Victoria. The role covers CCTV, alarms, access control and monitoring equipment with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

You will troubleshoot, program and configure security platforms, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and support projects from start-up to handover. A valid Victorian Security Licence and drivers licence are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in security system installation/maintenance
• Current Victorian Security Licence
• Current Driver's Licence
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Cabling Registration/Licence
• Experience with security platforms (Integriti/Genetec/2N/Axis) is highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining and repairing electronic security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, access control and monitoring equipment
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding across software, network and field devices
• Programming and configuration of integrated security platforms
• Preventative and reactive maintenance works
• Supporting projects from start-up through to handover
• Providing technical support and practical solutions to customers
• Completing service documentation and reports
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of security systems to ensure correct operation and client compliance
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, identify root causes and implement solutions

Senior Security Technician (Electronic Security Systems)

You'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of integrated electronic security systems across a broad range of customer sites throughout Victoria. This is an opportunity to join a professional security integration company working with leading technologies across commercial, education, government and strata environments.

Key responsibilities

Installing, maintaining and repairing electronic security systems including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, access control systems and monitoring equipment

Troubleshooting and fault-finding across software, network and field devices

Programming and configuration of integrated security platforms

Preventative and reactive maintenance works

Supporting projects from start-up through to handover

Providing technical support and practical solutions directly to customers

Completing service documentation and reports

Conduct regular inspections and testing of security systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and meeting client specifications

Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in security systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions

About you

1+ years in security system installation/maintenance and a solid understanding of IP networks

Current Victorian Security Licence

Current Driver's Licence

White Card (Construction Induction Card)

Cabling Registration/Licence

Experience with platforms such as Integriti, Genetec, 2N, or Axis will be highly regarded

Additional experience in IP networking, fibre infrastructure and integrated security systems will be viewed favourably
