Job summary

Wilton Ridge Public School in the Sydney Region is seeking a dynamic Teacher Librarian for a permanent 0.4FTE position. The role will help establish the school's library ahead of Day 1, Term 1, 2027 and support curriculum delivery and information literacy across the learning areas.

You will collaborate with staff across K–6 to plan and deliver engaging library programs, manage resources, and promote a love of reading while aligning with NSW Department of Education standards.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
• Plan, implement and assess high-quality, differentiated K–6 programs and information literacy.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teaching staff on curriculum planning and assessment.
• Capacity to organise a stimulating library environment inclusive of diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Establish and resource the library for a new school opening in 2027.
• Deliver curriculum-aligned library programs for K–6 students.
• Collaborate with teachers on planning, assessment and information literacy development.
