Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Temples­towe College seeks capable classroom teachers to deliver engaging programs in a diverse learning environment focused on literacy and numeracy outcomes.

You will plan, prepare and teach across ranges 1 and 2, use data to inform instruction, provide feedback to students and parents, and collaborate to raise school performance. Mentoring colleagues and contributing to policy and professional learning are expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum with literacy and numeracy teaching.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating growth.
• Experience monitoring learning, using data to inform practice and provide feedback.
• Interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and staff.
• Willingness to engage in professional learning to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum.
• Undertake other teaching and organizational duties as required.
• Participate in parent meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
