Job summary

SGS Australia is seeking an Inspector to join the team in Hendon, performing inspections of agricultural commodities, ensuring compliance with industry and government requirements and delivering trusted services to customers.

You will conduct export and domestic inspections, prepare accurate reports within deadlines, liaise with customers to meet inspection requirements and maintain up-to-date skills and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Experience or knowledge within the agricultural industry, commodity inspection, export services or a related sector is highly regarded.
• Australian Government Authorised Officer PGG3001 and BVI3001 accreditation is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of agricultural commodity exports and domestic trade shipments.
• Perform export commodity inspections in accordance with Trade Assurance Services contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Complete accurate inspection reports and documentation within required timeframes.
• Liaise with customers to understand and meet their inspection requirements.
• Maintain and develop the skills, knowledge and qualifications required for the role.

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inspector to join our team in Hendon. In this hands-on role, you'll conduct inspections of agricultural commodities, ensure compliance with industry and government requirements, and help deliver trusted services to our customers.
