Job summary

SGS Australia is seeking a motivated Inspector to join our team in Hendon, conducting inspections of agricultural commodities for export and domestic trade. You will ensure compliance with industry and government requirements and deliver trusted services.

The role requires independence, accuracy in reporting, and strong customer interaction. Qualifications include a current Australian Driver's Licence and experience or knowledge in agriculture or commodity inspection; accreditation is desirable

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inspector to join our team in Hendon. In this hands-on role, you'll conduct inspections of agricultural commodities, ensure compliance with industry and government requirements, and help deliver trusted services to our customers.

Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:

• Conduct inspections of agricultural commodity exports and domestic trade shipments.
• Perform export commodity inspections in accordance with Trade Assurance Services contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Complete accurate inspection reports and documentation within required timeframes.
• Liaise with customers to understand and meet their inspection requirements.
• Maintain and develop the skills, knowledge and qualifications required for the role.

Qualifications

To be successful you will have:

• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Experience or knowledge within the agricultural industry, commodity inspection, export services or a related sector is highly regarded.
• Australian Government Authorised Officer PGG3001 and BVI3001 accreditation is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
