Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking casual Peer Support roles in Wide Bay to provide intentional peer support, assist with recovery strategies and help with assessment and referrals in an acute adult inpatient ward.

Roles offer flexible work arrangements, a competitive hourly rate of $51.47–$57.24, and a generous superannuation contribution of up to 12.75%. Successful applicants join a supportive hospital workforce committed to care, connection and compassion.

Qualifications

• Provide intentional Peer Support and model self-defined recovery strategies.
• Assist with assessment, intervention and referral of consumers admitted to an acute adult inpatient ward.
• Offer education, information and support from personal recovery experience.

Responsibilities

• Support consumers in an acute inpatient ward setting with recovery planning.
• Educate and refer to appropriate services and agencies as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure care, connection and compassion.
