St Agnes Catholic High School, Rooty Hill, NSW, seeks a passionate HSIE and Religious Education teacher to join its collaborative teaching team for a temporary full-time period from 27 January 2027 to 28 January 2028.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education.
• Hold NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain accreditation.
• Experience teaching HSIE and Religious Education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and contemporary HSIE and Religious Education lessons.
• Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice.
• Encourage critical thinking, inquiry and informed discussion.
• Support students to understand historical, geographical, social and religious perspectives.
• Connect classroom learning with contemporary issues and students’ lived experiences.
• Use evidence-informed teaching strategies to support student growth and achievement.
• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Cater effectively for students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with students and families.
