Job summary

St Agnes Catholic High School Rooty Hill is seeking an enthusiastic HSIE Teacher to teach Business Studies and VET Business Services. This permanent full-time role commences January 2027.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging HSIE learning experiences, apply evidence-based teaching practices, and maintain VET compliance while fostering a safe and inclusive classroom for Years 7–12.

Qualifications

• Hold recognised tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education.
• Hold current NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain accreditation.
• Have qualifications and experience in Business Studies and relevant HSIE subjects.
• Hold the required VET trainer and assessor credentials to deliver Business Services, or be willing to obtain them.
• Demonstrate relevant vocational knowledge and industry currency.
• Hold a valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Business Studies, Business Services and broader HSIE learning experiences.
• Use contemporary and evidence-informed teaching practices to improve student outcomes.
• Develop students’ knowledge, practical skills and confidence.
• Maintain the required assessment, documentation and compliance standards for VET delivery.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with students and families.
