Job summary

St Spyridon College in Sydney seeks an experienced Design and Technology teacher for maternity leave cover in the secondary TAS Department. You will deliver high-quality D&T programs and contribute to a creative learning environment.

The role requires relevant tertiary teaching qualifications and current NSW NESA accreditation, with a commitment to student development, collaboration with colleagues, and upholding the Greek Orthodox ethos of the college.

Qualifications

• Qualified Design and Technology teacher with relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Current NSW NESA accreditation.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school.
• Ability to contribute across the broader TAS Department.
• Experience or qualifications in additional TAS subject areas is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the NSW NESA curriculum requirements.
• Teach and support other TAS subject areas as appropriate.
• Support students to develop creative, practical and critical thinking skills.
• Assess and report on student learning and progress.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Collaborate with TAS Department colleagues and College leadership.
• Contribute to faculty programs, exhibitions and College activities.
• Support the Greek Orthodox ethos and values of the College.
