Job summary

Pymble Ladies’ College is seeking an experienced Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) Teacher to join the Design and Technology Department on a full-time permanent basis, commencing Term 1 2027. The successful candidate will inspire students to become confident, creative problem-solvers and bring innovative teaching practices to the classroom.

The role requires NESA accreditation, the ability to teach Technology (Mandatory) and Design and Technology, with Digital Technologies as desirable.

Qualifications

  • Hold current NESA accreditation and have an excellent understanding of the NESA syllabus.
  • Ability to teach Technology (Mandatory) and Design and Technology; Digital Technologies (Desirable).
  • Willingness to deliver courses in Stages 4, 5 and 6.
  • Commit to improving educational outcomes and differentiating the curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver TAS courses in Technology, Design and Digital Technologies.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative Design and Technology Department.
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective teaching practice.
  • Support student wellbeing and inclusive learning environments.

Job description

The role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) Teacher to join our Design and Technology Department on a full-time permanent basis, commencing Term 1 2027. The successful candidate will be passionate about Design and Technology, bring innovative and engaging teaching practice to the classroom, and be committed to inspiring students to become confident, creative problem-solvers.

You will display the following skills and attributes:

  • Hold current NESA accreditation and have an excellent understanding of the NESA syllabus
  • Have the ability to teach:
    • Technology (Mandatory)
    • Design and Technology; and Digital Technologies (Desirable)
  • Willingness and confidence to deliver courses in Stages 4, 5 and 6
  • Contribute positively and collaboratively to a successful department
  • Commit to improving educational outcomes
  • Confidence in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom
  • Have a strong understanding of the application of technology to enhance learning
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning and research and reflect on teaching practice
