Job summary

The Injury Management (IM) team within the Department of Health Tasmania is seeking an Injury Management Coordinator Band 5 to lead case management of workers’ compensation claims, coordinate return-to-work programs, and provide high-level advice to managers and employees on injury management issues.

You will work in a values-based, collaborative environment with occasional intrastate travel, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and contributing to workforce wellbeing across Tasmanian health

Qualifications

• Completion of, or undertaking, Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management or an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Case management of workers compensation claims.
• Facilitating and coordinating return to work programs.
• Provide high level advice to managers and employees on injury management issues including work related and non-work related injuries and illnesses.
• Maintain knowledge and sound understanding of the regulatory environment affecting worker’s compensation, WHS and employment within the Agency and represent IM as required.
