Job summary

IFYS Limited. is seeking an Injury Management Officer to join the People & Culture Team in Maroochydore. The role supports workplace safety and wellbeing, coordinating injury management and return-to-work processes, with on-the-job training for career development.

The position is full-time based in Maroochydore, offers $80,000 per year plus super, and allows remote work up to two days per week after training. Benefits include wellbeing reimbursement and EAP access.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field (e.g. Psychology, Allied Health, Human Resources or Occupational Health & Safety) is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workplace injuries, including WorkCover claims, liaising with injured workers and return-to-work planning.
  • Coordinate and monitor injured worker rehabilitation, communicate with stakeholders via phone, MS Teams, text and email.
  • Liaise with Workcover Queensland to ensure claims are managed and recovery is tracked.
  • Provide managers with guidance on managing non-work-related injuries and assist with employee correspondence.
  • Manage the Health Safety & Environment email inbox.
  • Support the development and maintenance of health and safety initiatives.
  • Manage the working from home agreement process, ensuring documentation is up to date and compliant.
  • Coordinate and administer HS&E Committee meetings.

About the opportunity

IFYS has a new opportunity for an Injury Management Officer to join our People & Culture Team.This role is open to applicants at all stages of their career. Candidates with limited experience who have a genuine interest in supporting the wellbeing of others are encouraged to apply, with on-the-job training provided.

Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating the management of work related and non-work-related injuries, and will assist the HS&E Manager to implement initiatives to increase the safety of employees.

Requirements for the role:
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field e.g. Psychology, Allied Health, Human Resources or Occupational Health & Safety (highly desirable)
  • Ability to read and understand legislation and safety information and contextualising to IFYS
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of confidentiality, integrity and awareness of sensitive information
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful:
  • Valid Queensland Driver’s License
  • QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
  • Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)
  • National Crime Check (A new check will be completed through IFYS systems)
  • Ability to provide two recent line manager references including your current employer
