Job summary

APA Group is hiring a Purchasing Specialist in Brisbane to support procurement across infrastructure projects. You will manage end-to-end purchasing, RFQs, supplier evaluations and contract activity to ensure cost, schedule and quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes governance, stakeholder collaboration and timely delivery within a large energy infrastructure environment. Excellent negotiation and ERP skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, sourcing or a related commercial environment.
• Experience RFQs, supplier evaluations and recommendations.
• Strong commercial negotiation and pricing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities with deadlines.
• Understanding of purchasing governance, PO workflow and audits.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing from demand through PO placement per policies.
• Undertake RFQs, bid evaluations and supplier recommendations.
• Negotiate terms, pricing and delivery with suppliers for fit-for-purpose contracting.
• Maintain supplier relationships and resolve commercial issues.
• Coordinate expediting and logistics with project teams and suppliers.
• Maintain PO records and ERP data, ensure audit-ready documentation.
