Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia invites applications for a Domain Security Architect – Infrastructure & Networks. Lead security architecture across server, virtualization and network platforms, shaping a strategic cyber uplift for Australia’s critical payments and banking systems.

You will translate cyber strategy into practical architecture, standards and delivery outcomes with a focus on segmentation, zero trust, secure administration and hardening uplift within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cyber security or infrastructure security and leadership in architecture.
• Hands-on architecture experience in networks and multiple domains listed.
• Experience delivering a security strategy or roadmap with measurable risk reduction.
• Familiarity with Essential Eight, ASD ISM, NIST CSF and CPS 234 in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cyber strategy, target state and multi-year roadmap for infrastructure and networks.
• Define and mature segmentation and zero trust network architecture across macro and micro segments.
• Design secure technology solutions aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modelling and architecture reviews for initiatives.
• Author security reference architectures, standards and hardening guidelines.
• Collaborate with Vulnerability & Posture Management to drive remediation and compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders to embed security requirements early in projects.
• Represent Cyber to technology, project and business stakeholders with pragmatic risk-based recommendations.
