Job summary

Australian Rail Track Corp. (ARTC) is seeking hands-on maintenance staff to keep the national rail network safe and efficient. Tasks include general labouring, track maintenance, safety duties, inspections, heavy machinery operation, welding and other specialised maintenance activities.

A structured training program will equip you with knowledge, certifications and skills needed to succeed, with competitive remuneration and health and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• About you: Self-motivated, reliable and a strong team player with good communication.
• Safety-focused in all tasks and able to work in physically demanding environments.
• You must be able to pass a Category 1 Rail Medical.
• What we want from you includes: Current Driver’s Licence, White Card, RIW competencies, HR Licence.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance and upkeep of ARTC’s rail network.
• General labouring, track maintenance and safety protection duties.
• Detailed visual inspections of rail infrastructure, operating heavy machinery and welding.
• Support minor construction works associated with capital upgrades.

A bout the Opportunity

We’re seeking safety-focused, hardworking andmotivated individuals to join our team. You are responsible for the hands‑onmaintenance and upkeep of ARTC’s rail network. This includes carrying out bothpreventative and reactive maintenance activities, as well as supporting minorconstruction works associated with planned capital upgrades.

In this role, you will perform a range of tasks including general labouring, track maintenance, safety protection duties,detailed visual inspections of rail infrastructure, operating heavy machinery,welding, and other specialised maintenance activities — all while adhering to ARTc’s strict safety and quality standards.
