Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking an enthusiastic Infrastructure Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role offers an early-career IT professional the chance to build expertise across enterprise infrastructure technologies while contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team.

You will develop, deploy, support and maintain Saab's enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, performance and availability.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration or similar IT support environment.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (incident, problem, change, and request management).
• Exposure to enterprise infrastructure technologies including networking, storage, compute, virtualization, and backup.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Understanding of information security principles and cyber security best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise infrastructure support requests and incidents through the Infrastructure Service Hub.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with a strong customer service focus.
• Support deployment, monitoring, maintenance and optimisation of infrastructure systems.
• Assist with management of compute, storage, virtualisation, networking and backup environments.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
• Participate in change management, incident management, problem management and ITSM processes.
• Attend Change Advisory Boards (CAB), ITSM reviews and project meetings.
• Assist with procurement activities including RFQs, purchase orders and receipting.
• Contribute to compliance, audit, security and regulatory activities to maintain licence to operate.
• Develop and maintain technical, operational and end-user documentation.
