Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking an Infrastructure Development Lead in Australia to own end-to-end development of data centres and renewable energy projects. You will evaluate markets, secure land and permits, and lead commercial negotiations including NDAs and PPAs.

The role requires deep knowledge of Australian grid, planning processes and project financing, with extensive stakeholder engagement across landholders, councils, regulators and investors.

Qualifications

• Experience developing data centres or large-scale infrastructure projects in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of Australian planning and grid connection processes.
• Commercial and transactional experience, including negotiating terms and PPAs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
• Highly analytical, able to manage multiple projects with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own Renewable Energy and Data Centre development in Australia end-to-end from market entry to energisation.
• Evaluate markets across Australia based on power availability, grid timelines, land, fibre, climate and incentives.
• Identify opportunities (data centres, wind, BESS, rooftop, carport, ground-mounted, floating solar) across technical and planning aspects.
• Lead commercial negotiations (NDAs, LOIs, exclusivity) through to completion.
• Build a network of landholders, developers, utilities and councils; develop new prospecting methods.
• Structure PPAs with commercial/industrial clients and respond to tenders.
• Secure land and lease agreements; support development financing.
• Lead planning, approvals, environmental assessments, feasibility studies and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate consultants, legal advisors, service providers and authorities for timely approvals.
• Run due diligence and maintain a live pipeline aligned with growth strategy.
• Manage pre-construction activities including procurement tenders and EPC negotiation support.
• Mitigate technical, commercial, and development risks; ensure deliverable projects.
