Job summary

Brisbane City Council in the Brisbane region is seeking a motivated and organised professional to support our Community Infrastructure projects. This role coordinates the design and construction of playgrounds, picnic facilities, and related assets, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to Council specifications.

You will work in a collaborative team, applying strong project management, financial oversight, and procurement knowledge to deliver green spaces that meet community needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing projects within time and financial constraints.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Good numeric, complex reasoning and negotiation abilities.
• Sound verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team goals.
• Knowledge of construction industry and procurement procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the design and construction of playgrounds, picnic facilities, fitness equipment and related projects.
• Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to Council’s specifications.
• Providing cost estimations for planned projects and maintaining high service standards.
• Working to agreed performance standards and mutual expectations.
• Liaising with stakeholders to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Completing project specifications and documentation for procurement activities.
