Job summary

Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking a Coordinator | Information Management to lead information governance, privacy and data governance functions. You will oversee operational records management and drive improvements in data quality and reporting.

With a Diploma in Records Management and at least five years of relevant experience, you will influence cross‑team compliance, build organisational capability, and advance BI and decision‑making across Council.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Records Management or equivalent field is required.
• Minimum 5 years recent experience in information management or related field.
• Experience leading enterprise information management functions including records governance and privacy.
• Experience establishing data governance, reporting and data quality practices.
• Strong communication and training skills for influencing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Council's information management and records governance frameworks.
• Oversee data governance, BI initiatives and reporting.
• Improve data quality, reporting, information systems and decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and best‑practice standards.
