Job summary

Harrison McMillan is seeking an experienced Information Architect to support information architecture, governance, taxonomy, metadata, and enterprise information management initiatives. This is a long-term contract based in Canberra, ACT with hybrid work and onsite requirements.

A Baseline security clearance is required, and the role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, enterprise information modeling, and governance across systems and services for government and industry clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder engagement and information discovery workshops.
• Assess current-state information environments, repositories, and assets.
• Design frameworks for enterprise information architecture, taxonomies, metadata structures, and classification models.
• Develop information governance standards and documentation.
• Support integration and interoperability across systems and services.
• Contribute to Agile delivery practices and manage work items in Azure DevOps.
• Provide governance briefings, knowledge transfer, and implementation support.
• Governing information architectures and developing information models and content structures.

Harrison McMillan is seeking an experienced Information Architect to support information architecture, governance, taxonomy, metadata, and enterprise information management initiatives.

This is a long-term contract until 30 June 2027 with 3 x 12-month extension options and is based in Canberra, ACT. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with an expectation of approximately 2 days per week onsite.

Due to the nature of this role, a Baseline security clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder engagement and information discovery workshops.
• Assess current-state information environments, repositories, and information assets.
• Design enterprise information architecture frameworks, taxonomies, metadata structures, and classification models.
• Develop information governance standards, recommendations, and documentation.
• Support integration and interoperability requirements across systems and services.
• Contribute to Agile delivery practices and maintain work items in Azure DevOps.
• Provide stakeholder briefings, governance presentations, knowledge transfer, and implementation support.
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise information architectures.
• Experience developing information models, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, classification structures, and content architectures.
• Proven ability to engage and influence business and technical stakeholders, including executives and governance forums.
• Experience establishing information governance frameworks, standards, and compliance practices.
• Strong communication, workshop facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to demonstrate positive social, environmental, and sustainability outcomes.
• Competitive and low-risk pricing approach.
• Ability to present a low-risk delivery model for the engagement.
