Job summary

dnata catering & retail in Perth is seeking a full-time Chef to join our in-flight dining team. You will work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, prepare bulk hot and cold dishes, follow menus, and ensure consistent quality.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, 2+ years' experience, and the ability to work weekends/public holidays. We offer 5 weeks leave, onsite parking, meals, uniforms, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full ongoing working rights in Australia.
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks, incl. National Police Check and medical assessment.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher).
• 2+ years’ Chef experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications.
• Availability to work shifts (including weekends and public holidays) and to stand for extended periods.
• Food hygiene and HACCP knowledge (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Preparing and cooking a variety of bulk hot and cold dishes, following menu specifications and ensuring consistent quality.
• Using advanced knife skills and food preparation equipment efficiently, maintaining portion control and minimising waste.
• Conducting quality checks and upholding all food safety, safety, and hygiene policies, including HACCP.
• Coordinating catering staff and other team members to deliver to production schedules.
• Demonstrating basic computer skills for administrative tasks.
