Job summary

Department of Health, Tasmania is seeking an experienced Nurse Coordinator to lead the Infection Prevention and Control Unit (IPCU). You will coordinate IPC activities, deliver education, and support multidisciplinary teams in preventing infections across the Tasmanian health system.

The role requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership, and data-driven quality improvement initiatives. Permanent part-time, up to 48 hours per fortnight, with pro rata salary and benefits in a supportive

Qualifications

Strong experience in infection prevention and control, including managing healthcare-associated infections.
Excellent leadership and communication to educate and support multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in risk management, audits, data analysis and developing clinical policies.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and provide leadership for an infection prevention and control portfolio including risk assessment, data collection and dissemination of results.
Provide leadership in professional development and education activities for staff, acting as a resource for IPC matters.
Support quality improvement and service delivery by coordinating processes and maintaining audit tools and data bases.
