Healthscope is seeking an Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator or experienced RN to lead our IPC program at John Fawkner Private Hospital. The role focuses on driving patient safety, quality care, and compliance with NSQHS standards within a hospital setting.

You will lead policy development, deliver IPC education, coordinate outbreak prevention, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve accreditation and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with AHPRA.
• Strong knowledge of IPC principles, NSQHS and guidelines.
• Experience collecting, analysing and interpreting clinical data.
• Policy development and quality improvement experience.
• Experience leading accreditation activities.
• Education and coaching of staff in IPC practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead the hospital-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Monitor, analyse and report IPC data and KPI performance.
• Develop and implement IPC policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Coordinate outbreak prevention, preparedness and response.
• Chair and support IPC Committee meetings.
• Provide expert education and coaching to staff.
• Support accreditation activities and NSQHS/ACHS compliance.
• Conduct audits, investigations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and leaders.
• Promote safety culture and continuous improvement.
