Job summary

JLE Group’s Manufacturing & Hire division is seeking an experienced Workshop Electrician to join our Orange-based workshop. The role focuses on electrical fabrication, assembly, testing, and maintenance of industrial equipment and modular builds.

You’ll work with mechanical fitters and project teams to meet build targets, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS standards and WHS policies. A NSW Electrical Licence and White Card are essential.

Qualifications

• NSW Electrical Trade Qualification and NSW Electrical Licence.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or workshop electrical environments.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and install electrical components for manufactured plant, equipment, and switchboards.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, manufacturing plans, electrical, architectural, and mechanical diagrams.
• Perform workshop-based electrical installations on prefabricated structures, skids, panels, and modular builds.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance inspections and report required corrective actions.
• Perform functional testing, continuity testing, and safety verification per AS/NZS 3000 and 3760.
• Complete compliance documentation, test sheets, and QA records.
• Ensure all electrical work follows WHS policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on workshop equipment, tools, machines, and plant components.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities in workshop electrical processes and methods.
• Mentor apprentices when required.
